GOATS AND SMALLHOLDERS
We are seeing an increase in the popularity of goats kept as pets and as such offer preventative and emergency veterinary services for your goat.
We have both an in house laboratory and access to Axiom Laboratories who provide a wide range of laboratory tests with experienced veterinary support to help us reach the correct diagnosis. We also have close contacts with neighbouring and specialist veterinary hospitals for referral should your animal require hospitalisation or more in-depth diagnostics.
With our Smallholders Club, we aim to support and inspire those with a smaller number of animals including sheep, goats, alpacas and cows. Whether you have a couple of 4-legged lawnmowers, or aspirations to grow into farming, the Smallholders Club is for you.
For members we offer: a bespoke preventative health plan written alongside one of our vets; up to 8 free worm egg counts over the year; 10% discount on diagnostics; 4 meetings throughout the year. Lizzie Morecroft
Farm Vet- Smallholder Club Lead
Lizzie qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2020 and after a few years working as a mixed practice vet in Yorkshire, moved to Cheshire in search of a more farm based caseload.
She worked as a research scientist (specialising in bluetongue virus) before becoming a vet, and from this has a particular interest in infectious disease, herd health and biosecurity. Lizzie runs our small holder club with the support of Maia.
